Basically, this is brilliant. Not only so in its sheer adorableness factor, but also in the simplicity used in the design and execution.
The one element I really like is the lack of dialogue. I feel it adds so much to the piece overall to just let the actions speak for themselves, as it is. The lack of dialogue lends a lot to the entire piece.
I also really love the concept of Rainbow Dash + Scootaloo sisterly love, so that scores it high for me, even if Scootalove is a rather well-explored concept.
I also enjoy the everyday-ness of this scene, I know it can be easy to, when attempting Scootalove, label her as a depressed orphan who later gets adopted by Rainbow Dash, I've seen stories done that way many times. What I find appealing about this particular idea is that it puts Scoot and RD in an everyday situation, showing how Rainbow Dash can be compassionate at all times. This seems a tad more realistic.
My only complaint is that Rainbow Dash's hoof in the 7th panel seems to come from about the height of her head...
Again, beautiful work.
Thanks for the critique!
Yeah, sometimes there are literally just no words you'll be needing at all, and they do tend to have a bigger impact so that's why I enjoy making such comics!
Eh, I see that. It does sorta look like it is, but if you follow the line, it's leading more toward her shoulder, but it is a bit too high compared to where the other arm is coming out of I guess.
Still, thanks again for the critique!
