CommentsThanks for the critique!
Yeah, sometimes there are literally just no words you'll be needing at all, and they do tend to have a bigger impact so that's why I enjoy making such comics! Eh, I see that. It does sorta look like it is, but if you follow the line, it's leading more toward her shoulder, but it is a bit too high compared to where the other arm is coming out of I guess. Still, thanks again for the critique! |
The one element I really like is the lack of dialogue. I feel it adds so much to the piece overall to just let the actions speak for themselves, as it is. The lack of dialogue lends a lot to the entire piece.
I also really love the concept of Rainbow Dash + Scootaloo sisterly love, so that scores it high for me, even if Scootalove is a rather well-explored concept.
I also enjoy the everyday-ness of this scene, I know it can be easy to, when attempting Scootalove, label her as a depressed orphan who later gets adopted by Rainbow Dash, I've seen stories done that way many times. What I find appealing about this particular idea is that it puts Scoot and RD in an everyday situation, showing how Rainbow Dash can be compassionate at all times. This seems a tad more realistic.
My only complaint is that Rainbow Dash's hoof in the 7th panel seems to come from about the height of her head...
Again, beautiful work.
